I work in a restaurant as a chef so I always like to try out any new gadgets or kitchen accessories that can make cooking or my experience in the kitchen better. I came across the chef basket on tv on night on an infomercial and decided to order it. I thought the chef basket was an innovative and genius product to use in the kitchen especially since i'm a fast food chef. The first time I used the chef basket was during a barbeque I had at my house where I made delicious juicy burgers along with onion rings and french fries that i fried using the chef basket. I've also used it to boil pasta as well as long as the pasta is a certain size so be sure not to use small pastas or macaronis when using the chef basket because it will just call through the holes. I've also used it to steam vegetables, my favorite is usually steaming broccoli. I was quite impressed by how well it worked! I'm a big fan of the chef basket. The chef basket is extremely versatile and its designed in such a way that you don't have to worry about burning yourself no matter how long the chef basket has been exposed to hot temperature. The Chef basket avoids spills and takes up no space as at by its unique design. It's so easy to cook pasta with the chef basket since I started using it and not only can it be used to cook the pasta but it can also be used as a strainer too. All I have to do is put the pasta into the chef basket, put it in the pot with the chef basket's handles draping over the side of the pot and when the pasta is ready you just pull it out after draining all the water and put it into a serving bowl to mix with the tomato sauce. It's that easy. After watching the chef basket infomercial i thought the idea was quite clever and it only costs $10 plus shipping. Chef Basket is truely an innovative kitchen gadget that I was sold on when I first saw the commercial for it. If you're someone who cooks pasta frequenly and likes to eat their spaghetti you can easily use the Chef basket to help prepare and strain it. All I had to do was place the Chef Basket in water and once my pasta cooked, I'd pull it out and allow the awter to drain and that was it. I poured the pasta directly into a bowl and mixed it with the sause. Chef Basket is very safe to use especially with its stay cool handles. Definately an essential item that should be in every kitchen. What's also great about the Chef Basket is you can easily move from the kitchen sink to your pot with ease. The Chef Basket is a very handy kitchen tool. I really like it's design how it folds flat for storage. I've already used my Chef Basket for a combination of things such as straining, deep frying and boiling eggs .. pretty much same as everyone else. When my husban bought me the Chef Basket as a surprise after I saw the infomercial and said i wanted it, i used it to cook pasta that night for the family. I thought it was really easy to use. I would just grab the Chef Basket handle right out of the pot and have it dangle over the sink to let it drain a little. Although I'm on a new healthy diet I couldn't resist using my Chef Basket for deep frying. I've already used it for frying up some fish and chips and cooking deep fried shrimp which came out YUMMY! I caught the Chef Basket on late night television one night when I was channel surfing and decided to go ahead and by it since the infomercial completely got me hooked and it was relatively inexpensive. I have to say I'm very happy with my purchase. I maily use my Chef Basket for cooking pasta and what I like about it is that I don't have to worry about burning my hands with its stay-cool handles. I'm not big on deep frying but have used just yesterday for Christmas Eve dinner as I deep fried scallops, shrimps, callamari and other fish for my family. If your not kitchen savvy the Chef Basket comes with a recipe cook for cooking ideas which are fairly simple. For what it's worth and the price Chef Basket is a great purchase....Read Full Review

I got my chef basket a few days ago and have already used it once to deep fry delicious chicken along with some french fries for my hubby and the boys and have to agree the chef basket is easy, quick and safe as advertised. The specially designed handles stay cool so you don't have to worry about burning yourself and the inverted handles can make the chef basket a free-standing colander. It conveniently came with the "Chef Guide" which is the amazing one dish meal guid and also came with teh everlast chef knife that never needs sharpening all for a low price. Chef Basket is Terrific!!! I found this great As Seen on TV kitchen product on this website and had to have it after i watched the infomercial. I'm sure nobody likes to get their hands burned while cooking and this can all be avoided with the safety using the Chef Basket.No matter what your making you don't have to worry about touching hot metal anymore with the safety of the chef basket's handles. I've had mine for about a couple weeks now and i've already used it in plenty of ways such as frying potatoes, cooking pasta, steam cooking vegetables, poaching eggs. The price is so reasonable for all the usage your'll get from the Chef Basket. Boil something in water or fry it in oil, my Chef Basket seems to do it all....Read Full Review

I am totally impressed by the Chef Basket 12-in-1 Kitchen tool. It has made cooking certain recipes quick and easy. It basically starts off flat but expands to form a cage or basket that lets you do things like frying, boiling, steaming or poaching as advertised. It can even be used as a colander for rinsing, storing, washing, draining or straining. I think the chef basket should be a staple in every kitchen and it 's not expensive. I especially love the chef basket for boiling eggs because you can easily remove the strainer from the boiling water and place it straight into cold water to cool down and your eggs are less likely to crack when using the chef basket too.
